Maintenance and backups
The EnaResearch Maintenance section - setup summary and customer code, service health, the data processing service and queue, backups and disk space.
- Admin panel
The Maintenance section of System management shows how your EnaResearch installation is doing: setup information, the health of its services, the data processing pipeline, backups and disk space. It is read-only; if something is wrong, the screen tells you to inform your system administrator.
Required role
- Owner (Maintenance permission).
Setup tab
The Setup summary shows the Customer code (your organization code), the environment, the setup status and date, the organization name and the setup version. Give the customer code to support when you report a problem.
Service status tab
| Card | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Process | Live version, uptime and memory use of the API |
| Database health and Connections | Whether the database answers and how fast |
| Services | Redis (queue), ClickHouse (measurements) and file storage |
| Data ingest | The Data processing service (Running, Not responding or No signal), the queue, the median processing time, failed data packages in 24 hours, accepted and rejected records, the oldest waiting package, measurement rows and raw data packages kept for 90 days |
| Backups and disk | Last ClickHouse backup, whether backups are kept on the local disk only or with an off-site copy and for how many days, free space on the data and backup disks, and jobs (data deletions and exports) waiting over 1 hour |
When to act
- Data processing service: Not responding / No signal: incoming data is queued but not processed. Tell your system administrator; data sent by the apps is kept and processed when the service runs again.
- The last backup failed: tell your system administrator.
- Disk almost full or jobs waiting over 1 hour: tell your system administrator.
Backups and their retention are set up as part of your installation. Your organization's data deletion settings (study retention, participant data deletion) are separate; see Ending a study and retention.
