Audit log
The EnaResearch audit log records changes, approvals, exports, imports, data access and assistant requests. Filter, verify signatures, export to Excel.
- Admin panel
The Audit log lists the audit records of changes made in EnaResearch: who did what, to which record and when. Records cannot be changed or deleted, and each one is signed and chained to the previous record so that tampering can be detected.
Required role
- Owner (Records permission).
Read the log
Go to Audit log. Choose a Date range (the last 30 days by default), search by user or summary, and filter by Action and Record type. The cards count the total, creates, updates, deletes, exports and distinct users in the period, and a chart shows Daily audit actions. Export as Excel downloads the table.
Actions
Create, Update, Delete, Restore, Export, Access (for example viewing an encrypted identifier), Approval, Run (analyses), Import (clinical records) and Assistant request.
Record types
Organization settings, organization users, studies, study teams, change requests, people, participations, participant access, devices, manual measurements, hospital stays, clinical events, clinical record imports, variables, datasets, exports, analyses and assistant requests.
Record detail
Click a row to open it. The detail shows the user, the record, the changes and Technical details (such as the browser). A badge shows the signature check:
- Verified: the signature and the chain link to the previous record were verified.
- Unverified: the signature or chain link could not be verified. Report it to support.
- Unsigned record: written before audit signing started; its content stays read-only.
Use Previous record and Next record to move through the list.
What the log does not contain
Content that should not be copied is left out: clinical note text, person identifiers and measurement values are not written to the audit log. Data deletions are recorded with counts only.
