For participants

Participant web area

Sign in to the EnaResearch participant web area with your code and PIN to see your studies, data transfer, last 7 days and open sessions, and change your PIN.

Applies to:
  • Participant area
Last updated: Verified with EnaResearch 0.15.0

The participant web area is a page in your browser where you can check your participation: the studies you take part in, whether your data is arriving and which devices are connected. It does not send health data; the app does that. You sign in with your participant code and your PIN.

Open it

Use the participant page of your research team's organization: its EnaResearch address followed by /p. Your research team tells you the address; the activation card mentions it as "your research team's participant page".

On Participant sign-in, enter the 6-character Participant code and your PIN, then Sign in.

No PIN yet?

Click Start with your activation card (Activate your account). Enter the Participant code and the Activation key from your card, then a 6-digit New PIN twice, and click Activate.

The activation key works once

If you activate on the web, the key on your card is used up. To connect the app afterwards, ask your research team for a new activation card. If you plan to use the app, activate the app first; the PIN you choose there also works on the web.

Change PINCurrent PIN, New PIN and New PIN (repeat)

A web session lasts 7 days; then sign in again.

If sign-in fails

  • "The code, key or PIN is incorrect.": check the code and PIN. Letters O, I and L are read as 0, 1 and 1.
  • "Too many failed attempts. Try again in … seconds.": wait and try again.
  • Forgot your PIN: ask your research team. They can issue a new code; you then activate again and choose a new PIN.
