Admin panel layout
The EnaResearch admin panel's top bar, home menu and study menu, the Overview dashboard, the study switcher, themes and the What's new page.
- Admin panel
The EnaResearch admin panel has two layers. On the home layer you see the organization: Overview, your studies, the data catalog and, for owners, system pages. When you open a study, the left menu switches to the study layer with that study's pages. This article explains both and the Overview dashboard.
Required role
- Any owner or researcher. The menus shown depend on your role and your study teams.
Top bar
From left to right: the product mark, Collapse menu, your organization's name, the study switcher (Choose study), your role badge and the account menu (My account, Appearance, Sign out). The panel opens in the dark theme by default; choose Light or System under Appearance.
Home layer menu
| Section | Item | Who sees it |
|---|---|---|
| General | Overview | Everyone |
| Studies | Studies (owners) / My studies (researchers) | Everyone |
| Data | Data catalog | Everyone |
| System | System management, Users, Audit log | Owners |
The bottom of the menu shows the organization's time zone and the version. Click Version … · What's new to open the release notes of this and earlier versions.
Owners can switch the study list between All and Mine (studies whose team they are on). See Study lifecycle.
Study layer menu
When you open a study, the menu shows:
| Page | What it is | Who sees it |
|---|---|---|
| Dashboard | The study's data summary | Team, once the study is approved |
| Protocol | Title, schedule, data scope, retention, eligibility criteria and the lifecycle actions | Team and owners |
| Team | PI and co-investigators | Team and owners |
| Participants | Enrollment, access, participant panel | Team |
| Data quality | Completeness and quality flags | Team |
| Variables, Datasets, Analyses | Research variables, exports and statistics | Team |
| History | Lifecycle events | Team and owners |
A draft or a study awaiting approval opens on Protocol. The study switcher in the top bar keeps you on the same page when you switch to another study.
Overview dashboard
Overview summarizes the studies you can see:
- Active studies, Active participants, records received recently and Participants not sending data (no data for 48 hours; the first 48 hours of a participation are not counted).
- Awaiting your approval for owners.
- Daily records received over the last 30 days, Data by study, Source mix (connected data sources by type), Alerts and Activity.
Participants appear only under their pseudonym. Participant-level alerts (not sending data, data source error) come only from studies whose team you are on.
